Aim

Iğdır Üniversitesi Dış İlişkiler Koordinatörlüğü, öğrenci ve öğretim elemanı hareketliliği temeline dayanmaktadır. Uluslararası üniversiteler ile yapılan ikili işbirliği anlaşmalarını en etkin şekilde kullanmak, Avrupa Komisyonu'nun desteklediği eğitim ve kültür fonlarını üniversite bünyesinde projelere dönüştürmek temel amacıdır.

Establishment

        Igdir University External Relations Coordination is primarily established for the implementation of all activities related to the university's involvement in European Union programs, and collaboration with the United States and Balkan countries.

Scope of Activities
a) To establish, develop, and maintain collaboration with foreign universities in order to achieve the following goals, taking into account the needs and potential of the university: 

— Student exchange 
— Faculty exchange
— Joint programs, projects, research, and meetings
— Mutual cooperation in other areas

b) To execute all programs and projects coordinated by the Center for European Union Education and Youth Programs Presidency, especially Erasmus, on behalf of the University. 

c) To facilitate information flow on national or international projects, assist university faculty in project development and/or participation, and, when necessary, personally manage these projects. 

ç) To organize promotional meetings to announce international project, program, seminar, course, summer school, and similar opportunities to students and faculty members at the university, distribute promotional materials, announce them through the website, display posters, and/or send emails.

d) To make necessary arrangements and ensure the implementation for faculty members participating in international education and research programs using European Union Education Programs and University resources. 

e) To secure the maximum allocation for the University for European Union Education Programs, and to plan and manage payments and expenses.

f) To prepare international protocol correspondence on behalf of the university and plan overseas visits.

g) To monitor and assist in organizing national and international education and promotional fairs and events and plan such activities.

h) To collaborate with relevant units to provide short-term foreign language training for those students and faculty members participating in international exchange programs and organize orientation programs. 

ı) To make necessary arrangements and organize orientation programs for accommodation needs of students and faculty members coming from foreign universities.

i) To collaborate with domestic higher education institutions within the framework of the National Exchange Program (UDEP) planned to be implemented by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), to facilitate student and faculty mobility within the country, and contribute to the planning and implementation of joint education, research, and community service projects.

j) To support the preparation of programs for inter-university events at the university, contribute to voluntary education activities, and undertake necessary efforts to ensure the university's hosting during the realization process.
